This year we provide opportunities for the symposium participants to present your work in 3 different formats:

  1. Poster only
  2. Power Pitch + Poster
  3. Oral presentation for people whose works fall on either one of the Trending Topics this year (Genome Editing or Immuno-oncology)

Poster only:
All posters must be 35.5 inches (or less) in width and 47 inches (or less) in length. Posters will be set up between 8:15 AM and 8:45 AM on (Sat.) August 5th, and kept up until 8 PM the same day.

Power Pitch + Poster:
The ‘Power Pitch’ format tends to maximize the exposure of the exciting abstracts at the meeting. This new format has two components: a short oral presentation (2 minutes), followed by the poster presentation. The Power Pitch session will be in a ‘rapid fire’ format which selected presenters will present their work back-to-back, with no Q&A in between presenters. You should create a 2-minute talk that captures the essence and salient points of your work, highlighting key innovations and results. We recommend the Power Pitch presenters to make no more than 2 powerpoint slides for Power Pitch. Please note that the content of the slides do not need to be identical to your poster, where finer details of the research will be displayed.

Oral Presentation for Trending Topics:
Researchers in the fields of “genome-editing” and “immune-oncology” will have the opportunities to present your work in a 5-minute talk, followed by a 2-minute discussion with the session panelists and audience.

Abstracts submitted for Power Pitch and Trending Topics will be reviewed and selected by the program committee. Abstracts that are not selected for oral presentation in Power Pitch and Trending Topics will be assigned to poster presentation. Abstracts that are selected for Trending Topics do not NOT need to have posters.

Speakers for Power Pitch and Trending Topics oral presentation will be notified no later than July 21st, 2017. All speakers will need to send their PowerPoint slides to the committee before August 2nd, 2017. Details about how to submit your PowerPoint slides will be included in the notification email.

For any question regarding abstract submission and selection, please feel free to e-mail us.
