George Yeh joined TLC in 2002 as President and leads the company’s operations. He is responsible for strategic planning, business development, product licensing, and management of corporate funding. Over the course of a few years, Mr. Yeh managed to develop TLC into one of the fastest-growing drug delivery companies in Asia. In 2006, TLC was named one of the top 100 private companies by Red Herring Asia, and shortlisted for Red Herring Global in 2007. George also received the Outstanding Young Innovator Award in 2008 for his contribution to the biotechnology industry in Taiwan. Prior to joining TLC, George was most recently the CFO of Hermes Biosciences, structuring and negotiating technology transfers and license contracts with pharmaceutical companies. Before his tenure at Hermes, George was the Vice President at AsiaWired Group, where he was responsible for procuring corporate funding, strategic planning, and integration of high-level management and financial resources for start-ups. At AsiaWired Group, George successfully assisted Presenter, Calimetrics and other high tech companies with fundraising of over US$40 million and coordinated Asian expansion for several US-based companies. Before coming to AsiaWired Group, George was an associate at General Bank, evaluating start-ups and venture capital partnerships for debt financing. George holds a BA from the University of California at Berkeley, and an MA and an MBA from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
