Maurice obtained his PhD. in Pharmacology from the University of Toronto in 2015. His thesis examined the physiological role of a novel dopamine receptor complex, the D1-D2 heteromer, in drug addiction and depression-related behaviours, as well as the associated neuroadapatations. Maurice believes that the current research process can be greatly complemented by the recent advance in machine learning technology. He is dedicated to building a digital research tool that can benefit the scientific community as a whole by speaking to researchers and incorporating their needs into BenchSci.
