Dr. Yi-Shan Chen received her bachelor’s degree from the Department of Biological Science and Technology, National Chiao-Tung University and master’s degree from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, National Yang-Ming University. She obtained her PhD from Duke University, studying infectious disease in Dr. Raphael Valdivia’s lab. After graduation, Dr. Chen continued her dissertation work as a postdoc for one year and then moved to Biogen for a contract position to study cell death. Currently, she is a Scientist at CRISPR Therapeutics working on gene therapy for β-hemoglobinopathy.
