After receiving his bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (National Yang Ming University) and Master’s degree in Immunology (National Taiwan University), it was apparent to Dr. Adam Chu that he could no longer hide from his strong desire to give up biology and study synthetic organic chemistry instead. He started pursuing his doctoral degree in organic chemistry at Tufts University with Prof. Clay Bennett in 2011, where he studied the design of novel chemical glycosylation methodologies. After graduating in early 2016, Dr. Chu started at Pfizer Andover as a joint postdoctoral fellow, working on the development of streamlined N-glycan characterization workflows. He transitioned into his current role as a Senior Scientist shortly after, also at Pfizer Andover, supporting regulatory filings, process development and characterization studies of Pfizer’s polysaccharide vaccine portfolio.
